The next edition of Reale Seguros Madrid Fusión will be even bigger to meet the demand for space, given that the congress grows every year. There will be more square metres of exhibition space and areas devoted to new content. The possibilities for taking part are now even greater for companies wishing to be part of the world’s most important summit of haute-cuisine gastronomy.
Just as for the previous seventeen editions, the congress will offer a full programme in the main auditorium, which can seat 1,000 attendees. The greatest Spanish and international chefs will speak there, unveiling today’s new trends and what is happening in avant-garde cuisines. The multi-purpose stage will yet again be a great teaching platform, as will the workshops, where the most esteemed cooks in the world will demonstrate the most cutting-edge techniques.
FIVE SEPARATE AREAS
Attendees will be able to enjoy myriad options by visiting the five separate areas. The exhibition space will again be a place where participating companies can display their most innovative products and services aimed at the sector. At Enofusión, where wine will be the main protagonist, a packed programme of wine tastings will be offered, all the latest wine-related gadgets will be on display, and Top Wine Spain will present a selection of the best wines.
Visitors to Tasting Spain will have the chance to taste, get to know, and experience the best of what many destinations in our country have to offer. Madrid International Pastry arrives at Madrid Fusión to become a forum and benchmark for the worlds of bread, pâtisserie and chocolate. And The Drinks Show will be back, offering an avant-garde liquid adventure for all the senses with talks, master classes and tastings given by the best bartenders and chefs on today’s local and international scenes.
The programme of activities at Reale Seguros Madrid Fusión 2020 will be topped off with competitions, auctions, and prize-giving ceremonies.
Madrid Fusión first began eighteen years ago, taking advantage of the important revolution that Spanish cuisine was undergoing and which led to one of the great cultural changes in the sector: the decision to share knowledge. Cooks from around the world stopped keeping their techniques and recipes secret, and Madrid Fusión became a mouthpiece that has allowed this culinary talent to spread all over the world. After celebrating seventeen editions, it has consolidated itself as the world’s great gastronomy stage. Its goals are: to show the avant-garde side of all things culinary; to bring the world’s cuisines closer together; to encourage debate and critical thinking on gastronomy and the many areas linked to it (wine, the food industry, technological innovation, scientific research and new business models) via live cooking demonstrations by leading cooks on the international scene; and offering surprising presentations of the most revolutionary techniques.
The evolution of the congress, organised by Vocento’s Gastronomy Division, has been enjoying a year on year ‘crescendo’. Figures from the last edition broke every record. Over 2,000 attendees and 13,000 visitors, 122 speakers and 200 exhibitors. Without a doubt, it was the most successful edition of the greatest summit of haute-cuisine gastronomy. The change of venue in 2020 to a larger space will allow these figures to be surpassed.
