Konstantin Filippou

He was born in Austria to a Greek father and an Austrian mother, and his multicultural family made the Mediterranean a constant component of Konstantin's life, and it has also become one of the driving forces behind his gastronomic career.

After a number of years at Vienna's two-star restaurant Steirereck, Konstantin decided to broaden his horizons and went to England, where he worked in Gordon Ramsay's Stage***, and also Le Gavroche**. He also worke in Spain with Juan Mari Arzak, and returned to Austria with all the new baggage and learning experiences under his belt.

Konstantin Filippou worked in several restaurants and then opened his own (Restaurant Konstantin Filippou) in 2013, and within a year he had earned his first Michelin star. The second was to follow in 2018. He then embarked on a new project, the O boufés bistrot, also in Vienna, and rumour has it that Filippou and his crew are working on something new for next year.
