Teresa Gutiérrez

Teresa Gutiérrez is owner and chef at Restaurante Azafrán in Villarrobledo (Albacete), where the cuisine has firm roots in La Mancha with adaptations to the modern age and respect for local produce.

She originally studied dentistry, but her cookery vocation took over, and she went to the Valencia School of Catering, and also to the School of Catering in Avignon. She has also studied dietetics and nutrition. She has an all-female team in Azafrán. She won the JRE National Gastronomy Award for the Best National Cookery Trajectory, and is an ambassador of the La Mancha Azafrán Protected Designation of Origin.
