A trained journalist and translator, Ibán Yarza (1974) is an authority on artisan bread in Spain thanks to his work in books, TV programme and media appearances.

He is the author of Spain's best-seller book on bread ("Pan casero"), the authoritative book on traditional bread in Spain ("Pan de pueblo"), and the most comprehensive manual on how to make Spanish bread in the home ("100 Recetas de pan de pueblo"). He has also translated essential works on bread ("Bread", by Jeffrey Hamelman; "Tartine Bread", by Chad Robertson; "The Handmade Loaf", by Dan Lepard, among others). He now spends his time on courses and collaborations in Spain and America.
