Gonzalo Aramburu

Chef at Aramburu (Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Gonzalo Aramburu's work is the work of one of the most advanced cooks to have taken the lead in Argentine haute cuisine in the second decade of the 21st century.

Gonzalo Aramburu studied at the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía (I.A.G.), continued his education in Europe and the United States, and trained in two- and three-star Michellin restaurants with chefs such as Charlie Trotter, Daniel Boulud and Martín Berasategui. He perfected his skills at L'École Lenôtre Paris.

In 2007, he opened the restaurant Aramburu in Constitución, an atypical Buenos Aires neighbourhood for the level of cuisine he was beginning to develop. In 2019, Aramburu moved to the picturesque Pasaje del Correo in the Recoleta neighbourhood. The restaurant presents an avant-garde and renewed vision of Argentine cuisine. It is developing a step-by-step menu that is unique and seasonal.

Aramburu was voted the best Latin American restaurant by Tripadvisor. It was selected in the top 10 of the Travelers' Choice World Ranking 2019. It has also been in the top 50 Latin American restaurants since 2013 and will join the Relais & Chateaux family in 2022. Two Michelin stars together were awarded in 2023 and added to these international accolades.
