Chef at Afluente (Bogotá, Colombia)

Jeferson García is a globetrotting chef who has happily returned to Bogotá to bring a change of pace to the city's restaurant scene.

Jeferson García studied at the SENA and spent 14 years in professional gastronomy in kitchens such as Boragó, 99 and 040 in Chile, Santa Teresita in Punta del Este Uruguay and Central in Peru. He also traveled to Europe and Asia, working in Michelin-starred kitchens such as Gaggan and GA in Thailand, and Amass, Jordnaer, Alchemist, Kadeau and Relae in Denmark, where he later won a scholarship to the famous Mad Academy. 

In 2021, he will return to Colombia to be the chef at Afluente, a restaurant off the beaten track of trendy cuisine that is quickly attracting attention. He is also working on the opening of his restaurant Afluente in 2024.
