Agustín Trapero

Former wine director of the Four Seasons Madrid 5* and founder of AT Somm (Madrid, Spain)

Considered one of the most important Spanish sommeliers today, this native of Avila returned to Spain a few years ago.

After two decades working in London, he returned to Spain to take charge of the drinks department at the Four Seasons Madrid 5*. A job he has recently decided to put aside in order to dedicate himself fully to his own project: a new consultancy, advice and training company for the wine sector called AT Somm, in which he is putting all the experience he has gained over the last 20 years to good use.

After obtaining the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET®) Diploma, Agustín Trapero obtained the Advanced Certificate from The Court of Master Sommelier and is currently on the long road to becoming a Master Sommelier. A demanding certification that no Spanish sommelier has yet achieved, and one that Trapero has been pursuing for years.
