Cristian Palacio's gastronomic career took off when he returned to his homeland.

Cristian Palacio trained in his hometown of Zaragoza, combining his hotel and catering studies with work in various restaurants. At the age of 18, he began to travel to other regions, such as the Basque Country (where he worked with Pedro Subijana for several years), Majorca, Castile-León and Murcia, where he settled in Yecla to manage the entire gastronomic complex of the Barahonda winery for almost a decade.

In 2020, however, he decided to return to his home town to open his own project with his wife, Sofía Sanz. Just in time for the start of the Covid19 pandemic, he opened Gente Rara, a place that has received recognition: a Sol Repsol in 2021 and 2022, the Golden T of Aragón in 2022 from Tapas magazine, the award for "The Gastronomic Revelation of Aragón" and, finally, a Michelin star in 2024.
