Xavier Ybargüengoitia

Former CEO of Estates & Wines LVMH (Barcelona, Spain)

Ybargüengoitia has a long track record as an executive, having been in charge of marketing and sales, as well as managing or being CEO of several FMCG companies.

Born in Barcelona, Xavier Ybargüengoitia Millet holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, a PADE (Programa de Alta Dirección de Empresas) from the IESE Business School, and has attended various courses and seminars on strategy, leadership and marketing in the luxury sector at ESADE, where he obtained a degree in Financial Management and Management Control, and at prestigious academic centres in London, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Newport (United States).

For the past 19 years, he has been involved in the world of wine, first at Moët-Hennessy Spain and then as CEO of States & Wines, the wine division of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group.

Author of the book "Creating Value in the Wine Industry", published by the Faculty of Oenology of the University Rovira i Virgili (URV), where he is a professor, and recognised by the International Wine Challenge (IWC) as the best publication of 2023 in the wine industry category.
