Beth Willard is a leading figure in the international wine industry, particularly recognised for her expertise in Spanish and Eastern European wines.
Her career began in Australia where she worked at Hardy Winery in Canberra and a small family winery. After moving to Europe, she developed her career at the Syndicat des Vins de Bordeaux and later in the UK, where she held key buying positions, including a decade as Global Buying Manager for Direct Wines.
Now based in Spain, Beth is a respected authority on Spanish wines and conducts presentations and tastings in English and Spanish. She works with Tim Atkin MW to produce reports on Spanish wine regions and producers. A Decanter writer and DWWA judge since 2015, she has chaired regional panels and was appointed DWWA co-chair in 2024. Her contribution to the industry has earned her a place in the prestigious Grand Order of the Knights of Wine.
